How much does the subscription cost?

What training does MHDAcademy Offer?

MHDAcademy offers a multimedia training platform aimed specifically at providing colleges and learning providers with support for learning outside the classroom.  It will supplement college time with home-based study to develop strong foundation skills and help learners maintain employment or progress to courses leading to higher-level qualifications.

Tutor tools include student tracking, homework monitoring and alerts and the ability to set new accounts.

Why can't I view all the qualifications or MyHairDressers.com videos?

Student subscriptions only allow access to the videos for the Level/qualification that you subscribed to, i.e. Level 1 or  Level 2 or Level 3. A subscription to MyHairDressers.com is not included. Tutor subscriptions provide access to the complete range of Qualification Specific Material. A subscription to MyHairDressers.com is not included. 



How often can I view your online hairdressing videos?

There is no limit. You can access the videos as often as you like 24/7, 365 days of the year.



Can I download your hairdressing tutorials?

The training can only be watched online as streaming video. It cannot be downloaded to a computer. We've provided a step-by-step PDF document that compliments the units and helps remind you of important steps of tutorials during and after you've watched a training video.



I'm outside the UK, can I use the MHDAcademy?

Yes.


Will this work on my computer?

System requirements:

Why does the video keep stopping and starting while I'm watching it?

It's possible that your video download speed is slow or inconsistent. You can re-attempt the download by clearing your browser's cache or 'refreshing' your browser.

My page has gone 'grey' and the video won't play?

When I log in it says ' Login Failed'?

If you try and login using your username and password and you get Login Failed, then you have incorrectly put in either your username or password or both.  Please try again.  If you have forgotten your password, simply click on Forgot Password on the login page, enter your registered email address in the box provided and then click on 'Retrieve Password'. The system will then reset your password and email it to you.  Please note that the email will come from no-reply@mhdacademy.com.  If it still does not work, please contact admin@mhdacademy.com.

 



When I log in why does it say "please register to gain full access to our video/pdf tutorials", when I am a paying subscriber?

It is possible that you need to delete your temporary internet files, cookies and browsing history on your computer for the system to recognise that you are logged in.  Dependent upon your internet browser, please do the following:  

 
Internet Explorer
Go to the TOOLS section click on INTERNET OPTIONS

Click BROWSING HISTORY
Delete Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History and click on Delete, then OK. 

Safari
Click SAFARI in the top left corner

Click Empty Cache
Click History in the top bar.
Click delete history at the bottom of the drop-down menu
Click Preferences in the Safari menu
Select Security
Select Cookies
Click Delete

I have forgotten my password, what should I do?

Simply click on

 Forgot Password on the login page, enter your registered email address in the box provided and then click on 'Retrieve Password'. The system will then reset your password and email it to you. To help ensure you receive our password reset emails please add admin@mhdacademy.com and no-reply@mhdacademy.com to your address book or safe senders list. If you do not receive our password reset email please check your SPAM or JUNK folders before contacting us.

 

 


How do I change my password?

Once you are logged in, go to the 'Your Name' area of the site (link at top of page) and then click on 'edit'.  Within here you will be able to enter your new password, confirm it and click 'Update'.  Remember the next time that you log into the website you will need to use your new password.



I've inputted in my email address to register and it says "email already exists"?

It may be that you previously logged into the site registering your email address with a password, but not completed the subscription process.  If this is the case you will not be able to register again with the same email address, but simply log in using your email address and click 'forgotten password' - this will reset the site and send a new password out to you.  Once you have received this then log into the account using your email address and password.

How do I cancel my subscription?

The multimedia resources are valid for one year only and do not automatically continue at the end of the period.  Should you not have finished your training please contact
admin@mhdacademy.com or contact us during office hours (0900-17:00 GMT, Monday-Friday) on + 44 (0) 330 088 4398 to discuss your options.


I've submitted a query but have received no reply - why not?

We aim to respond to all queries by email within two working days. If you have received no response from us within a few days it is possible that our email has been rejected by your email client as SPAM. Please check your SPAM folder before contacting us again. We also recommend you add the following email addresses to your address book or safe senders list:-
